Formidable Forms: sign straight after submitting

1. Open the form's SignSealer settings

   A form's SignSealer settings are with the form, in Formidable Forms: open Formidable → Forms, edit the form, choose Settings at the top, and SignSealer in the settings menu. Or open SignSealer → Forms, which lists every form on the site with Open in Formidable Forms beside it.

   

2. Choose the workflow

   Beside Workflow, choose the form in SignSealer this one should start. A form left on Nothing works exactly as it did before.

   

3. Say which fields hold the email and the name

   Choose the Email field and the Name field from the form's own fields; the number in brackets is the field's id. If the form asks for the last name in a field of its own, choose it as the Last name field, and the person is named by both. Add the Phone field, and on a plan with texting choose the tick box beside it under Texting consent, if the link should be texted as well as emailed. Only the fields you choose are sent to SignSealer.

   

4. Answer what the agreement asks

   If the agreement has blanks beyond the person's name and the date — a boat name, a pickup date, where it takes place — they are listed under What the agreement asks. For each, choose the field on your form that answers it (a field whose name matches is chosen for you), or type the answer to use every time. A required one with neither is asked of the person on your own site, on a short page between the form and the signing, and the signing starts once they answer. Dates and times are written out in words on the agreement.

5. Choose when they sign

   After the form is sent keeps the form as it is: the entry is saved, then they sign. Before the form is sent makes signing part of sending: pressing the form's own button opens the agreement over the form, on your page, and once it is signed the form is sent by itself, its entry carrying the signed document. Somebody who closes it without signing sends nothing, and no entry is kept. SignSealer emails them the link too, either way.

   

6. Choose what happens after they submit

   For a form that signs after it is sent: Send them straight to the signing page is what most people want. Show the form's own confirmation, with a link to sign keeps your confirmation message and adds the link to it. Nothing here: SignSealer emails them the link leaves the form as it was and lets the email do the work. A form that signs first has nothing left to sign by then, so its own confirmation shows as it always has.

   

7. Save, and try it

   Press Update; the SignSealer settings are saved with the form's other settings. Then fill the form in yourself on the page where it lives. With Send them straight to the signing page you land on SignSealer's page, even where the form is set to show a message; with the link option, the link is added under the form's own message.
