Paired to your business, not signed in as you
A tablet is a device on your account, with its own credential. Your customers sign on it, or on their own phone from a link, and never install anything.
A pairing code, not a password
Add the tablet under Apps & tablets in your account, name it and choose the form it runs, and you get an eight-character pairing code, good for fifteen minutes. Type it into the tablet and the code is spent: the tablet now holds a credential of its own, kept in its keychain.
It can do one thing
That credential takes signatures on that device. It cannot browse your account’s documents, send anything or change a setting, and no account password or API key is typed into a tablet at a counter.
Lost one? Stop that one
Stop a tablet from your account and it stops at once. Your other tablets, your booking integration and your own sign-in carry on as they were, because none of them shared its key.
Kiosk mode, for a counter
Put the tablet into kiosk mode before you hand it across. It stays on your forms until a member of staff takes it out.
One form, or a list
A tablet with one form starts straight on it. With several, it opens on a list of them by name and goes back to the list after each signature.
A staff PIN to leave
Three taps in a corner ask for a PIN of four to eight digits. Wrong guesses lock the prompt for longer each time, and kiosk mode will not start without a PIN set.
It clears itself
A customer who walks away mid-form leaves nothing for the next one: after two minutes idle, or the time you set, a countdown shows and the screen resets.
The same evidence as a link
Agreeing to sign electronically is its own step, then the form’s questions a page at a time, then the signature. The certificate records it as signed in person, on your tablet.
When the connection drops
A counter at the end of a dock loses its signal and the queue is still there.
The form and its text are already on the tablet, so it keeps taking signatures and holds them until the network is back. While they wait they are sealed on the device, under a key kept in its keychain.
Each one carries the time the tablet thought it was. The record keeps the time we received it as the fact and the tablet’s time beside it, marked as the tablet’s. Anything refused is shown in the app’s settings rather than retried until the battery runs out.

The customer picks the form, fills it in and signs. Nothing else runs on the tablet.
A till on the same tablet
Your point of sale takes the booking, then hands over to SignSealer with the documents that sale needs, and the customer signs before they are handed back.
A till and a signing tablet
The sale happens on one device and the signing tablet learns somebody is waiting for it. A tablet opens signing only for documents it started or was sent, never for any open document in the account.

Do my customers need to download the app?
No. The app is for a tablet or device your business owns and keeps at the counter. A customer signs on it, or on their own phone from a link or a QR code, and never installs anything.
Which devices does it run on?
iPads and Android tablets, which is what it is built for. It also runs on a phone you set aside for the job.
When can I get it?
Both store listings are awaiting App Store and Google Play approval. Until then, a business can install the Android build from inside its account.
What does a signature on a tablet cost?
The same as any other signing: a completed agreement, however it was signed. Pricing has the rest.
What if a tablet is lost or stolen?
Stop it from your account. Its credential stops working at once, and nothing else on the account is affected.
