Event Tickets: a waiver with every RSVP and ticket

Choose the workflow every RSVP and ticket starts, once. Whoever books is emailed the waiver with the event, date, time, venue and party size already on it.

Before you start

  • The plugin installed and this site connected (the getting-started guide).
  • Event Tickets, active, with an RSVP or a ticket on an event (The Events Calendar's) or on a page.
  • A form in SignSealer, under Forms & QR, made from the template the customer should sign. The plugin calls it a workflow.

What happens next

  • Whoever RSVPs or buys is emailed the agreement, one for each ticket in their order, saying how many people it is for.
  • The RSVP's message and the order page show a button to sign.
  • An RSVP of "not going" starts nothing, and a paid ticket starts its agreement once it is paid. See who signed in SignSealer.

If something is not right

Three people came on one RSVP. Does each of them sign?

Only if the workflow says so. Event Tickets asks one name and email an order, so the agreement starts for the person who booked. In SignSealer, open the workflow and tick Everyone in the party signs: then the person who booked tells us about the other two before they sign. Each adult signs the same agreement with their own link: emailed where there is an email address, texted by the person who booked from their own phone, or taken from one party link shared in a group chat, where each person picks their name. Somebody under 18 does not sign; a parent or guardian signs for them. Left unticked, one person signs, and persons says how many it covers.

I RSVPed while logged in, and it went to my account's email.

That is the address Event Tickets keeps for a logged-in visitor's RSVP, whatever was typed. Try it logged out, or in a private window.

One event needs no waiver.

Leave the first row at — Nothing — and choose a workflow on the row of each ticket that needs one.

Somebody RSVPed and nothing was sent.

Open SignSealer → Bookings: when an RSVP or ticket should have started a signing and did not, the page says why, such as a blank the agreement needs that nothing answered.

And Event Tickets Plus?

Its RSVPs and Tickets Commerce tickets work the same. The tickets it sells through WooCommerce have not been tested yet.
