Delete your SignSealer account
Last updated 14 October 2026.
A SignSealer account belongs to a business. Its owner closes it, from the dashboard or by email, and it is closed for everybody in it. The SignSealer app for tablets holds no account of its own: it is paired to a business, and closing the business stops it too.
If you are the owner
- Sign in at app.signsealer.com. The link goes straight to Settings → Close this business.
- Download the records first, if you want a copy: the button is on the same page.
- Type the business's name and press Close.
A document still waiting for a signature has to be voided, signed or expired first: a business does not close over somebody's pen.
If you cannot sign in, or you are not the owner
Email support@signsealer.com from the address you sign in with, and say which business. If you are a member of a team rather than its owner, the owner can remove you under Team, or email us and we will.
What closing deletes, and what it keeps
- Every API key, tablet, webhook, pending invitation and connected app is revoked or stopped at once, and everybody but the owner loses access.
- The plan is canceled at Stripe first, if there is one.
- The business's documents stay readable to the owner for thirty days. Then their text and the people in them are redacted, as they would be at the end of the business's retention period.
- The fingerprints, the event trail and every certificate are kept, so a signed agreement still verifies for the other party. That is what they are owed.
- Our terms, which the business signed, are kept as the record of that agreement.
If somebody sent you a document to sign
The document belongs to the business that sent it, so ask them first. For anything we hold about you ourselves, ask us for a copy or to delete it, and see the privacy policy.
